Looking for a team that values ownership, meaningful impact and pushing boundaries? At Lucanet, we're always looking for people who bring that mindset. Here's what to know about applying and how our recruiting process works.
Putting your application together
- Resume: Keep it clear, well-structured and focused on what matters: key achievements and the responsibilities you've held in previous roles. Volunteer work or international experience is a plus, especially if you're earlier in your career and still building up your track record. Make sure it's current and feel free to add your LinkedIn profile for more context.
- Cover letter: Not required, but a good one helps you stand out. Use it to show us who you are beyond the resume and focus on your motivation, your strengths and why Lucanet is the right next step for you. Skip repeating your resume and get specific about the role.
- References and certificates: If you have references or certificates that support your application, feel free to include them, choose the ones most relevant to the role you're applying for.
Navigating the online application process
You have all your documents together and you’re ready to apply? Great! Submitting your application to Lucanet is quick and seamless through our careers page.
Fill out your personal information, upload your documents, and click the "Submit application" button on our job ad. If you encounter any issues, our application tool has built-in guidance.
You'll also be asked for a few practical details like your salary expectations (selected from a range, in EUR per year), your earliest possible start date and your notice period, if applicable. We also ask about the languages you're proficient in, whether you're eligible to work in the location of the role and whether you'd need visa assistance. These help us move your application forward faster and give you accurate next steps early on.
What to expect in our hiring process
Once you've applied, here's a general idea of how things typically unfold:
- Application review: Our talent team reviews every application against the role's requirements. If it looks like a good match, you'll hear from us, usually within 3 to 5 business days.
- Initial conversation: A first call, usually with a talent partner, to get to know you, talk through your background and motivation, and answer any early questions you have about the role and Lucanet.
- Hiring manager and team interviews: One or more conversations with the hiring manager and, depending on the role, future team members. This is where we go deeper on your experience, how you approach your work and what you're looking for next.
- Case study or practical exercise: For some roles, we'll ask you to work through a short case study or task relevant to the position, for example, a live technical exercise for engineering roles, or a business case for sales positions. This gives you a real feel for the kind of work you'd be doing and gives us insight into how you think and problem-solve in practice.
- Senior leadership conversation: Depending on the role and seniority level, you may also meet with senior stakeholders or leadership as a final check on mutual fit. If you're based near one of our office locations, this can sometimes take place as an on-site visit; if you're working fully remote, we'll set this up as a virtual conversation instead.
- Final conversation and offer: A closing conversation to wrap up any open questions, followed by a decision. If it's a match, we'll move quickly to get you an offer.
Every process looks a little different depending on the role and team, and your talent partner will walk you through the specific steps for your application along the way, so you always know what's next.
Everyone should be able to put their best foot forward. If you need any adjustments, whether for accessibility, scheduling, or anything else, let your talent partner know. We're happy to make it work.
Preparing for your interview
If you progress to the interview stage, take these steps to get ready:
- Preparation is key: Look into what we do, who our customers are, and what's happening at Lucanet right now (our website and social channels are a good start). Just as important: get clear on your own side of things. Why this role, why now, why you? We'll come prepared and we'd like for you to as well.
- Check your setup: For the virtual interview, test your camera, mic and connection beforehand, a quick trial run with a friend can save you stress later. For later in-person interviews, plan to arrive a little early.
- Show up ready: Dress professionally either way. For virtual calls, find a quiet spot and give the people around you a heads-up so you're not interrupted.
- Be yourself: We want to see the real you, your goals, your thinking, what drives you. We're evaluating fit across skills, mindset, and culture, and honesty gets you there faster than a rehearsed answer ever will.
For some interviews, we record and transcribe the conversation. This helps our interviewers stay present and focused on talking with you, rather than taking notes. You'll be asked for your consent before the interview, and your choice has no impact on your application or evaluation either way. You can find more details on how we handle this data in our data processing information.
