At Lucanet, we’re innovating at a relentless pace, driven by the passion and dedication of our teams.

Two years ago, I stood on a stage at Lucanet World and made what some might have said were bold promises: that we would be building a new SaaS platform, our mission to the moon.

Then, a year later, we launched the first version of that platform, our CFO Solution Platform. This isn't just our current offering; it's our foundation for the next 10 to 20 years.

This first version had three solutions integrated: Reporting for Consolidation and Financial Planning, our ESG solution, and Disclosure Management.

But that was then, and this is now:

The CFO Solution Platform in 2025

We consistently hear that CFOs want to consolidate vendors and simplify their software estate. Our platform has come a long way, and our users now have access to:

  • Consolidation and Financial Planning – automating consolidation processes across different group structures and accounting standards.
  • Extended Planning and Analysis – enabling collaborative, cross-department operational planning that is easy to use and actually makes sense.
  • ESG Reporting – taking the pain out of ESG compliance, now including support for the new VSME framework.
  • Disclosure Management – simplifying the creation of disclosure reports to the point where you’ll enjoy the process.
  • XBRL – making machine-readable disclosures super easy.
  • Lease Accounting – our seamless solution for IFRS 16 compliance.
  • Tax Compliance and Reporting – streamlining tax preparation so effectively - you might have time for lunch during tax season.
  • Banking and Cash Management – providing visibility into cash flow and liquidity.

With the CFO Solution Platform, we offer best-of-breed solutions, all deeply integrated, to address your business-critical jobs to be done with one single vendor.

We're also releasing new Office 365 integrations for Disclosure Management and Consolidation and Financial Planning, because we know when you’re not working in Lucanet, you’re in Word and Excel!

Cloud infrastructure

Building a modern SaaS platform requires a launch pad; a rock-solid foundation of compute, storage, and networking that can scale elastically, remain highly available, and stay secure – all while operating at global scale.

That's why we've joined forces with AWS. I often describe this as "standing on the shoulders of giants": through AWS, we deliver capabilities that would be cost-prohibitive for us to build independently, even at our scale. It's like having a world-class infrastructure team that never sleeps, never takes vacation, and never argues about who's responsible for the weekend deployment.

Platform services

On top of these building blocks, we've constructed our platform services – the core foundation that powers every solution that we offer. This foundation is, quite literally, our force-multiplier for the platform.

Our control plane manages the entire platform, automatically provisioning infrastructure for solutions around the clock. It operates globally, ensuring your solutions are always available when you need them.

Our platform services also provide essential capabilities like user management and single sign-on – because life's too short to remember seventeen different passwords.

In this layer, we’ve also built the Lucanet shell, our web micro-frontend, which serves as a unified container for all solutions’ user interfaces.

APIs

Everything we build is API-first, because in today's world, if your software can't talk to other software, it's essentially speaking a dead language. Our APIs ensure authenticated access and proper authorization – users can only see and do what they're supposed to see and do. A revolutionary concept, I know.

Collectively, this is the foundation that all the solutions are layered on top of in the CFO Solution Platform.

Integration benefits

Integrating all our solutions into the platform creates a high-quality experience, with four key advantages:

  1. Seamless integration of the user interfaces into our web micro-frontend, delivering a user experience so smooth, you'll forget you're using enterprise software.
  2. Integration into our platform services – including SSO.
  3. Integration across the relevant backend data flows – creating seamless experiences across solutions that eliminate the dreaded "export-to-Excel-and-email-to-a-colleague" workflow.
  4. Integration into our control plane – driving operational efficiency globally and removing human error.

These capabilities absolutely set us apart from our competition, and in doing so, give our customers an incredible advantage, too.

We've finished layering in all the core services, including things like SSO and user management – which while small, really make the user experience much more seamless.  Now we’re layering in even more impactful services, that will take its capabilities to new heights.

Data lake

First, our new data lake. Previously, the Financial Warehouse served as the single source of truth for our Consolidation and Financial planning solution. Now, we're applying this concept across the entire platform, building a unified data lake for all solutions.

The data lake will be fed by our 300+ ETL adapters, connecting to your ERPs, HR systems, CRMs, and many more. It will become the single source of truth for the entire CFO Solution Platform.

This unlocks our 300+ ETL adapters that were previously exclusive to CFP, making them available to every platform solution – from xP&A to ESG to Tax Compliance and Reporting.

We're also building the CFO cockpit on top of this data lake to surface insights across the platform, and we'll also provide an out-of-the-box BI capability for even more advanced analytics use cases.

CFO cockpit

The CFO cockpit enables users to create and share dashboards that communicate key information and insights effectively. It will support various chart types – bar, line, pie, KPI tiles, and even waterfall charts.

But here's what makes it special:

We believe dashboards should tell stories, not just display numbers. Users will be able to tag key points on charts and add narrative context explaining why data appears as it does. This enables deep collaboration across finance teams to explain and understand insights in a meaningfully way.

We've also introduced a new task center allowing users to create, prioritize, and assign tasks with deadlines. This has been a frequently requested feature for some time, and it will be a game changer in helping finance teams to connect better, collaborate and work more smoothly with each other.

Extraordinary lengths to protect your data

One topic that we spend a disproportionately large amount of time thinking about is cybersecurity.  Cyber-attacks have surged dramatically over the past year, both in frequency and complexity. And with AI now in the mix, these attacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated and intelligent.

We know that entrusting your data to a SaaS platform requires a lot of trust, and we take this responsibility very seriously.  We’ve invested in and deployed cutting-edge cyber-security tooling, but improving our security posture is a continuous process that never stops.  Security isn't an afterthought for us; it's the foundation upon which everything else is built.

The CFO Solution Platform for future-ready finance leaders

To summarize: we now have all Lucanet solutions integrated into the CFO Solution Platform. We have cross-solution integrations where it makes sense, and we're powering up all our solutions with capabilities like a new data lake and CFO cockpit.

With all this, Lucanet delivers unparalleled productivity for you and your finance team, giving you a competitive advantage.

There's genuine excitement at Lucanet – you can sense it when you walk through our offices. We're absolutely committed to taking the CFO Solution Platform to new heights. The future of finance technology isn't just arriving: it's here, it's powerful, and it's designed specifically for leaders like you.
