We sat down with her to talk about what excites her most, how she’s grown into a leadership role, and why Lucanet is a place where curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning truly thrive.
Svenja, great to have you! To start, what three things matter most to you?
Meaningful connections matter a lot to me - relationships with colleagues, friends, and family give me energy, perspective, and purpose both in and outside of work. I thrive on new ideas and inspiration, constantly picking them up from books, podcasts, and conversations with peers. And movement and exercise help me recharge, a run, a cycle class, or even a quick walk clears my head and helps me stay focused and balanced.
Great mix! Tell us, when did you join Lucanet and what do you do here?
I joined Lucanet in October 2024 as a Manager in the Professional Services Tax team, focusing on implementation projects and supporting customers throughout their entire journey with our tax solution. That means collaborating closely with sales, product, and partner teams to make sure every customer has the best possible experience. I recently stepped into the Team Lead role, so while I still work hands-on with customer projects, I also focus on the team’s strategic direction, helping colleagues grow, onboarding new team members, and continuously improving our internal tools and processes.
Congrats on your promotion! For someone outside the tech or finance world, how would you describe what you do?
We help customers get started with our tax solution, so their tax and compliance tasks become faster, more secure, and significantly less manual. We guide them through setting up practical processes, answer technical questions, and tailor the product so it supports their everyday workflows.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The diversity keeps me energized - no two customers face the same challenges. I enjoy turning complex, manual processes into efficient workflows that actually save people time. The rapid evolution in regulations and technology means there is always a new challenge to tackle - it never gets boring.
And how do you collaborate with other teams at Lucanet?
We work very cross-functional with our sales, product, and customer success teams, it’s at the heart of everything we do. That means regular check-ins and shared goals. When everyone communicates openly and focuses on the same customer outcomes, implementations become smoother, and customers achieve real, measurable value from our CFO Solution Platform.
As we keep talking about customer projects, how do you stay focused and motivated when handling several projects?
I try to keep things structured without overcomplicating it. Time blocking helps me stay on track and have periods for focused work - then I’m not constantly jumping between tasks. I also like to tackle smaller action items right away, so they don’t pile up. And when my head gets too full, a workout is the best reset.
You mentioned your recent promotion already. How has Lucanet supported your growth?
I’ve had the chance to work on many customer projects that gave me opportunities to step up - each one has helped me learn something new and grow along the way. Also, everyone in our team is incredibly supportive, and that makes a huge difference, especially when things get busy.

“We challenge ourselves to do better every day“ really speaks to me because continuous learning isn’t just nice-to-have in our field - it’s essential for success. Tax regulations evolve constantly, technology capabilities expand, and customer needs become more sophisticated. Staying curious and open to learning is therefore essential. Integrity and empowerment resonate strongly too. We aim for open communication, and we support each other to take ownership. It creates this environment where everyone can do their best work.
Speaking of taking ownership, what advice would you give someone thinking about joining Lucanet?
Come with genuine curiosity and a growth mindset because things move quickly here and there is always something new to explore. Combine strong communication skills with solid technical knowledge, because that mix builds credibility with both your internal team and customers, and positions you for real impact and career growth.
