12.03.2012 - LucaNet awarded with IT Innovation Prize 2012
"We came together in 1999 in order to make the vision created over the last few years come true. We wanted to develop software which, with a consistent focus on intuitive operation and the use of the most modern technologies, would be immediately usable by users without IT knowledge. Today, a good 10 years later, we are one of the leading software manufacturers in our sector. An award such as the IT Innovation Prize is at the same time recognition and incentive for us. It is also a nice confirmation for our customers of the fact that they made the right choice", says Oliver Schmitz, founder and CEO of LucaNet AG. Over 2,500 applications were received by the organisers of "Initiative Mittelstand" (SME initiative) this year. A specialist jury of professors, scientists, industry and IT professionals, as well as specialist journalists evaluated all the submitted products according to the criteria of innovation, practical relevance and suitability for small and medium sized enterprises. For the ninth year, the sought after prize at CeBIT for the best IT solutions appropriate for small and medium sized enterprises was awarded in 40 categories, and for a long time it has been recognised as a seal of quality in IT circles. The award ceremony was hosted by this year's patron, IBM. Several hundred guests from politics, economics and the ICT industry were present to congratulate the winners.
