Capital participation
Capital or company participation signifies ownership of shares in a company. Different terms may be used to refer to share owners, depending on the legal form of the company:
- Corporation: shareholder
- Limited company: Participant or associate
- Partnership: Partner
There are differences with regard to liability models as well as voting rights.
