04.05.2016 Serviceplan to use LucaNet software for its consolidation
To prepare its consolidated financial statements, the international communications agency Serviceplan will soon be using products from LucaNet, the provider of software and consulting services for business intelligence in accounting. The move is the company's response to its strong growth at group level and the increased demands that this makes of group accounting.
Established in 1970, Serviceplan is the largest owner-managed advertising group in Europe. Its activities include traditional advertising, trade and channel advertising, dialogue and online marketing and public relations, while its best-known campaigns include projects for BMW, Saturn (“Tech-Nick”), Lufthansa, Penny, Continental and WMF. Countless awards serve as a constant reminder of the professionalism and innovation that go into Serviceplan's work.
The Serviceplan Group will now also be tackling the growing internal structures in its group accounting in an even more professional manner: having expanded into new sectors and countries, the group is faced with significantly more complex consolidation processes. For instance, it now has to bring together over 80 companies in more than a dozen countries into a single set of consolidated financial statements.
The team charged with this task worked out the parameters any new software had to fulfil and found the ideal solution in LucaNet: “LucaNet stood out from other providers thanks mainly to its intuitive user interface and the flexibility it offers for collecting data locally”, said André Hiesl, Head of Accounting at Serviceplan, explaining the decision to opt for LucaNet. “We were also swayed by the direct link to the existing SAP system that you get via the certified interface plus the fact that this lets you drill down all the way to individual posting documents”, he continued.
