By remaining true to these standards LucaNet AG has come a long way from its founding in 1999 as a pure consulting firm. In the meantime, the company has become the provider of one of the leading software packages for planning and controlling, consolidation according to commercial law, international accounting (IFRS/US GAAP), as well as reporting and analysis. 

In addition to the company's headquarters in Berlin, two additional branch offices are located in western and southern Germany. Early 2006 saw the establishment of LucaNet Benelux B.V., and since 2007 LucaNet is also represented in Austria through its Vienna office.
